Sightseeing tour of Mahabalipuram. Evening laze around the beach.

Drive to Tanjore. En route visit Pondicherry - former capital of French India.
Later check in to hotel in Tanjore - ancient capital of Cholas & artists.
Stay in Tanjore.
Day 05
City tour of Tanjore, visit various granite carved temples built in 10th century.
Later drive to Trichy & visit Srirangam & Rock Fort. Stay in Trichy.
Day 06
Drive to Madurai - city of nectar. The most sacred pilgrim town. Evening witness
the prayer ceremonies at Meenakshi temple in Madurai. Stay in Madurai.
Day 07
Drive to Thekkady (Kerala) Arrive & check in. Later proceed for a wildlife
cruise on the Periyar lake & witness the wildlife which surrounds the
lake. Stay in Thekkady.
Day 08
Day at leisure to explore the plantations surrounding the spice centre in
Thekkady.
Day 09
Drive to Kumarakom - most scenic backwater destination on banks of lake Vembanad.
Arrive & check in. Evening is free to relax in Kumarakom.

Day at leisure or take a short boat ride to bird sanctuary in Kumarakom.
Day 11
Today board your houseboat for overnight stay. Get close up view of the country
side, quite lagoons & rural Kerala preserved through ages hidden from
the road.
Day 12
Disembark your houseboat & drive to Cochin - a harbour town renowned Queen
of the Arabian sea. Arrive & check in. Evening witness Kathakali dance
performance in Cochin.

City tour of Cochin.

Transfer to Cochin airport for your flight to onward destination.
